Light of My Life

I walked through my path easily
as it was bright
i could see what in front of me
either stones or just pebbles
never i stumbled on my journey

Life spins at it reaches its lowest point now
as everything around me is so dark
Darkness surrounds me
and keeps me away from seeing even good things

I never knew what darkness was,
yet since you left me,
that light also went away with you,
what left is just that darkness

I understand now
you shone my life
you're the light my life
you warmed me with your light

The light and the heat you showed me
really made my life bearable
it's all cold and dark now
and unbearable

No matter what, mom
thanks for being the light of my life
forgive me for not realizing it
and being so ignorant
